Phil Interlandi (1924-2002) va publicar el seu primer acudit gràfic l'any 1955 a "Playboy", revista per a la que col·laboraria al llarg de tota la seva vida. També va treballar per a publicacions com "Look" o "Better Homes & Gardens", i va il·lustrar diversos llibres, entre ells un de Dick Van Dyke, "Faith, Hope and Hilarity: The Child's Eye View of Religion"
